Reading Hydro welcomed our oldest visitor to date last week! Joe, aged 99, a retired civil engineer, braved the rain to see the turbines close up, and was impressed by the technical achievement and delighted by the murals.
Joe visited with his granddaughter Isla McCulloch, the Standards Manager of the Community Shares Unit. They played a major part in getting Reading Hydro off the ground, through approving our shareoffer documentation and becoming our largest investor. As well as renewable energy schemes, the Community Shares Unit has helped a wide range of other local enterprises, including shops, pubs and even a skatepark. It was good to update Isla on our recent progress and find out about other support they can provide.
